The AK 3.5 – Compact Meets Comfort
Dale Stoops, founder of The Knife Connection designed the AK 3.5 in 2014, and it has now moved from prototyping to production under the ARCHITECT® KNIVES brand.
This blade is proudly made in the USA by White River Knife & Tool. The CPM 3V Steel blade features an expert “full” heat treat. The blade machining and finishing are top notch and what you would expect to see on knives costing much more. This blade is low-drag due to being uncoated, which makes slicing and food preparation chores a breeze, plus, you’ll never have to worry about a blade coating wearing off.
The blade and handle have an unconditional lifetime warranty.
If you are looking for comfort in a compact package, it doesn’t get much better than the AK 3.5. With a blade length of 3.5″ and an 18 degree 3.3″ long cutting edge, this knife is ready to slice and dice. The blade stock is 1/8″ thick, and the high saber grind gives you maximum versatility in use.
The handle is where this knife really shines. Even though it is a smaller knife, we gave the AK 3.5 / 4.5 a generous handle length to accommodate all hand sizes, and the flowing ergonomic contours nests it securely in your hand. Try it today and you won’t be disappointed.
The AK 3.5 is well suited for dressing small to medium sized game, and the blade’s thumb jimping provides traction and blade control when and where you need it. The AK 3.5 features a flat (non-serrated) hammer pommel for use in a variety of blunt force scenarios, and the uniquely designed “hidden” lanyard hole accommodates standard 5/32″ / 4.0 mm (550lb) paracord. The result is a clean looking and highly functional system.
We plan to offer an optional sharpened 90 degree spine on a per-order basis soon.
All AK blade engravings have been designed to communicate a generous amount of information in an attractive and clean way. This blade matched with one (or more colors) of our Architect® handle kits provide you with a premium knife without a premium price, giving you real value.
A matching handle kit must be purchased with a blade only product unless you have previously purchased a handle.
