Naturally, there are a couple of things you need to keep in mind about Kydex. These may be deal breakers for you. One disadvantage of this material is that it’s rigid, and depending on where you place it on your belt, it can dig into you. The other disadvantage is that, unlike leather, drawing your knife from a Kydex sheath isn’t completely silent.
